Professor Samuel Sejjaaka is a Ugandan accountant, university professor, and businessman. He currently serves as Professor of Accounting and Finance at Makerere University Business School (MUBS). Between 2009 and 2014, he served as the Deputy Principal at MUBS. He did not re-apply for the position when his contract ended in July 2014. He is reported to be one of the wealthiest people in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East African Community. ==Background and education== Samuel Sejjaaka was born on 10 January 1964 in Mulago National Referral Hospital, in Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. As a child, he lived with his family in Entebbe, attending ''St. Theresa’s School'' and ''Lake Victoria Primary School''. For his O-Level and A-Level education, he studied at Kings College Budo, a mixed boarding middle and high school in Wakiso District. He studied at Makerere University, Uganda's oldest and largest institution of tertiary education, earning the degree of Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). He followed that up with the postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science, also from Makerere. He then attended the University of Strathclyde, in the United Kingdom, earning the degree of Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Studies. His degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), in Accounting and Finance, was obtained from Makerere University. Samuel Sejjaaka is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant of Uganda.
